Ginger Black Tea is a bold, warming blend that marries the full-bodied depth and natural caffeine of oxidized Camellia sinensis black tea leaves with the fiery, anti-inflammatory power of Zingiber officinale — Ginger Root — creating an invigorating cup that energizes the mind while settling the stomach. This pairing is the foundation of the South Asian chai tradition, which has been warming hearts from Mumbai to Istanbul for centuries, and it remains one of the most globally beloved tea combinations in the world.

The synergy of black tea and ginger is more than culinary — it is genuinely nutritional and therapeutic. Black tea's L-theanine provides calm, focused energy alongside its natural caffeine, while its theaflavins and polyphenols support cardiovascular health and gut microbiome diversity. Ginger contributes its well-studied gingerols and shogaols: anti-inflammatory compounds that inhibit COX-2 enzymes, ease nausea and digestive discomfort, stimulate healthy circulation and metabolic warmth, and provide antiviral support during cold and flu season. Together they create a digestive-supportive, energizing, warming, and immune-friendly daily cup that addresses both mental clarity and physical vitality simultaneously. The tradition of spiced tea has also been a vehicle for community, ceremony, and spiritual presence across South Asian, Middle Eastern, and African cultures.

For an elevated chai-inspired wellness blend, pair Ginger Black Tea with our Cinnamon (Ceylon) for blood sugar support and additional warmth, our Lemon Peel for a citrus brightness and vitamin C complement, and our Orange Peel for an uplifting, aromatic, antioxidant-rich citrus addition.

Ginger Black Tea contains moderate caffeine from the black tea component — those sensitive to caffeine should limit intake or enjoy in the morning hours. May increase gastric acid in very sensitive individuals. Ginger's blood-thinning properties mean those on anticoagulant medications should use in moderate amounts. As always, consult a qualified healthcare practitioner before use, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, or taking medications.

* Synergistic blend of black tea and ginger for sustained energy and digestive comfort
* L-theanine + caffeine from black tea for calm, focused mental clarity
* Ginger's gingerols and shogaols ease nausea, bloating, and digestive discomfort
* Anti-inflammatory action supports joints, circulation, and metabolic warmth
* Antiviral and immune-supportive properties during cold and flu season
* Rooted in the South Asian chai tradition — centuries of cultural and ceremonial use

1. Measure 1–2 teaspoons of Ginger Black Tea per 8 oz of water.
2. Heat water to 200–212°F.
3. Steep covered for 3–5 minutes. Steeping longer increases bitterness.
4. Strain and enjoy as-is, or with a splash of plant milk and honey for a classic chai-style drink.
5. Drink 1–3 cups daily.

For a full homemade masala chai: combine 1–2 tsp Ginger Black Tea + 1/4 tsp Ceylon Cinnamon + 3 Cloves + 2 Cardamom pods (crushed). Simmer in 1 cup water + 1 cup plant milk for 5 minutes. Strain and sweeten with honey or coconut sugar. This is the real thing.
