Prehnite is a rare gemstone that forms as a result of hydrothermal action in volcanos and was named after the Dutch Colonel Hendrik Von Prehn who discovered the stone in the 18th century. Prehnite is the first gemstone to be named after a person. In China, it is also known as Grape Jade due to the nodule formations often having the appearance of a bunch of green grapes. Most mined in Australia, China, United States, France.
Prehnite Gemstone beads have inclusions that resemble bits of moss and ice crystals floating weightless within the stone. Prehnite is a stone of prophecy believed to enhance precognition, visualization, and inner knowledge. It is also said to induce deep meditation, to facilitate dream recall, and to alleviate nightmares, deep fears, and phobias.
