TBE Herbs offers two different eye drop combinations. One carries the full blend of ingredients listed above. The other contains organic Goldenseal Root alone.
Both are built on sterile water as the carrier and nothing else, so what reaches the eye is the herb and the water. There are no contaminants, bacteria or other microorganisms in that water, which is not something you can say for tap water or for a tea infusion made at a kitchen counter. You will find instructions online for steeping a tea and using it as an eye drop. That is not what this is. Our manufacturing environment complies with cGMP, which stands for current Good Manufacturing Practice, and the ingredients are the purest we can source.
Goldenseal Root is one of the most respected herbs in North American plant medicine. It was used by Cherokee, Iroquois and other Indigenous nations of the eastern woodlands, and it later became one of the most widely stocked botanicals in nineteenth century American practice. It is traditionally used to support the comfort and clarity of the eyes.
A note on what you will feel. Like most eye drops, this formula can sting briefly. The bitterness is real and unmistakable, and you may taste the Goldenseal as it drains through the nasal passage, which surprises people the first time. If stinging does not settle quickly, or if it is sharp rather than brief, stop using the drops.
How to use it: follow the directions on the bottle. Keep the dropper from touching the eye or any other surface, and keep the bottle closed between uses.
